RT '011: Arkansas to Memphis

Guest Commentary by Lindsay:

Who put Arkansas in between OK and TN??? It totally threw off my game, but it turned out to be a beautiful state. And who knew the Mighty Mississippi was so mighty??? And did you know there was more to Memphis than just Elvis? Although his presence can be felt on every street corner. Today was quite the eye-opening day....for me at least.

Lookin foxy on a riverboat tour
Beale St. Great music. Great food.

I think the idea of the "mighty Mississippi" is so ubiquitous that people don't really buy that it's mighty. Like how everyone thinks the Statue of Liberty is really tall and are disappointed when they see it. But that Mississippi does not disappoint. I saw it a few years ago and I was pretty astounded.
I did not see Elvis, or any memorabilia. And my trip suffered for it.

I would like to request more pictures with you guys in it! Wendy always says that a picture of a place isn't really any good unless you're in it (or something like that). I mean, a picture of an Elvis statue is nice and everything - but a picture of you girls WITH Elvis is even better!

It sounds like you're having a wonderful time! I'm putting it on my list of things to do!!

Oh so YOU saw MY man? ( I still love him. It's ok. Jeff knows if he came back to life, I'd leave him for Elvis) When we went last year it was AwEsOmE!! You guys look like you're having a great time. How far are you going? Is KY or OH on your dirty south list? I know it's not south, but I can still ask, right? Eat some deep fried food for us.
Your Pal,
Pam

Valerie, for real? Maybe March is a big month to buy Elvis memorabilia so the vendors were out like crazy.

Laura, trust me when I say that somedays, you don't want to see us in the pictures. All this car time is taking a toll on our beauty. haha.

Pam, I fully support your love for Elvis. I thought of you while we were there and I wish we were going up to Ohio, but no.
