I'm back...

Oh, hello there.  Remember me?  I know, I've been a slacker in blogging lately.  Just taking a break.  So I'm trying to get back in action.

Well, this is a pretty random post.  This past week I turned the big 3-0.  I know a lot of people are scared of that age but I welcome it with open arms.  A new decade of life.  A fresh start.  I'm all for it.  I celebrated with the fam and later in the week with fabulous friends at a bonfire.  So here's a little glimpse of the beginning of 30.

Thanks to this fabulous photographer who inspires me always, I have decided to start taking more self-portraits.  He did it every single day for almost 3 years (that will never happen in my life). I realized in the last few years of my life there are very few pictures of me because I am far more comfortable behind the camera than in front of.  So here's to the first of many (don't worry, you won't see most of them).
I got this little piece of beauty for my birthday.  Have you seen it before?  It's a Fuji Instax camera, an updated version of the Polaroid.  I have wanted it for so long and I love it!!!

And this is what I get...(clockwise from left: On my 30th, at the bonfire, roasting marshmallows, the California fam, my friend Leah playing chubby bunny with grapes)

Then this came in the mail.  I found a link to this company in the U.K. who made these "pass it on" cards.  I searched all over their website to buy some and turns out they aren't for sale.  They made these cards as just a project for themselves.  They are just positive messages and the purpose is to give them to random people just to make their day and then to pass them on.  I loved the idea so much that I had a pretty long email correspondence with them to persuade them to send me some.  It worked!  They happily sent me a pack of cards to spread the love here in California.  I'm so excited to do it.  So if you get a card, be sure to pass it on.

So here is to 30!
